Kevin "KC" Schnell has approximately a decade of military experience. His titles include: Infantry Staff Sergeant (SSG), reconnaissance Scout Observer, Airborne Ranger, Drill Sergeant, Presidential Escort, Pentagon Tour Director and Master Fitness Instructor. Kevin was certified as a Combat Lifesaver (CLS) and held a Top Secret -Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) security clearance for his duties at the Pentagon and White House. Kevin has managed tactical and garrison teams ranging from 5-60 personnel in various environments.
Kevin has over 14 years of law enforcement experience in Missouri, working for the Kansas City, Belton and Independence Police Departments. He has been assigned to patrol units, a proactive unit, an ATV team, a bicycle unit and S.W.A.T. Kevin is certified as a Critical Incident Team (CIT) member and is well trained in defensive tactics and first aid. Kevin is trained in the Incident Command System and Emergency Management Response (ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800).
Kevin has worked in the protective services industry since 2011 and was the Honor Graduate of the 28-day Executive Security International protective services school in Grand Junction, CO in 2012.
Kevin is the President/Owner of KC Cann Transport LLC. and Co-Owner of KC Protective Services LLC.
Corey Randall served 19 years in law enforcement in the Kansas City, MO metro area. She began her career in 2003 in the Communications Division. Upon completion of the Kansas City Missouri Police Academy in 2006, she began working as a full-time police officer. Corey worked in the Patrol Unit as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer and a Field Training Officer (FTO) prior to being promoted to sergeant in 2014. As a sergeant, she worked in the Patrol Unit and ended her career in the Criminal Investigations Unit. Corey has extensive offensive and defensive driver’s training and experience, and is well-trained in defensive tactics, weapons handling and first aid.
In her free time, Corey likes to remain physically fit, and formerly owned her own gym, CrossFit Blue Springs. She still remains active in the fitness community.
Corey graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southwest Missouri State University in 2003. Corey has worked in the Protective Services field since 2015 and has provided Executive Protection, site security, asset protection and special event security. Corey collaborated with Kevin Schnell in 2018 and developed what is now known as KC Protective Services. Corey is the co-owner and Vice President of the company and continues to operate as a protection specialist. Additionally, she helps Kevin manage KC Cann Transport LLC.
James served in the United States Army from June 2001 through April 2010 in the 82nd Airborne Division. During that time, he was deployed to Afghanistan, deployed multiple times to Iraq, and aided the citizens of Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. James was a platoon sergeant and senior jumpmaster in the Airborne Infantry, responsible for the administrative and operational control of up to 30 personnel both in garrison and in forward deployed areas.
After the military, James worked for Triple Canopy in support of the State Department. James graduated from the Department of State Worldwide Personal Protective Services II (WPPSII), Worldwide Protective Services (WPS), and Worldwide Protective Services II (WPSII) courses. He was forward deployed at the United States Embassy Baghdad, Iraq continuously from August 2010 through May of 2020. James filled the positions of Advance Team Shift Lead, Motorcade Shift Lead, Agent-In-Charge, and Security Detail Lead on the Ambassador’s Protective Detail. While on the Ambassador’s detail, James was responsible for the day-to-day planning and operations of the detail as well as took part in the planning and operations of other dignitaries and guests of the Ambassador to include multiple cabinet level persons and the President of the United States.
James currently works as a Senior Protection Agent and Field Training Officer for KC Cann Transport and KC Protective Services.
David Williams was born and raised in the Kansas City area, David began his career by serving in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve.
After active duty, he attended Pittsburg State University where he earned a Master's Degree in Human Resources and a Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Technical Education. In addition to these degrees, David also earned a minor in Psychology and another minor in Industrial Safety.
David worked as an armed security contractor for 5 years in Haiti. He also spent 2 years as a licensed private investigator in Kansas. In addition, David has 8 plus years of armed and unarmed security experience in the Kansas City area.
David has worked in multiple MMJ facilities and as a transporter prior to becoming KCCT's newly appointed Operations Manager.
Ruth began her career in law enforcement in the Kansas City area in 2012. During her time as a patrol officer, Ruth focused her continuing education on arson investigation and K9 detection. In 2015, she transitioned to the Fire Service. From 2016 to present, Ruth has been a K9 Handler for local and state fire departments in NE Kansas.
In 2017, Ruth worked as an Explosive Detection K9 Handler working on celebrity protection details and high profile events such as Superbowl and The Masters. She also regularly worked as an advisor for security and disaster response action plans for public events and mass gatherings. Ruth has responded to multiple state and national disasters as a Urban Search and Rescue K9 Handler. She maintains state and national certifications in USAR operations, first aid and K9. Ruth regularly instructs K9 seminars at a national level.
